We’re a diverse group of home educators/homeschoolers in the Boston and South Shore area. Whether you’re an experienced home educator or considering homeschooling, we welcome you to join us for friendship, free play, optional free or low-cost activities, and vitamin D at the beautiful Houghton’s Pond in Milton, MA. We meet on Friday afternoons, 1230PM – 3PM, September – November and April – June.
We meet near the beach, just past the playground and visitor’s center. Parking is free and plentiful in the main parking lot accessible from Hillside St. Families enjoy the beach, creek, fields, climbing rocks, playground, and hiking trails, with accessible bathrooms and shelter (if desired) for hot or rainy days.
Parent and child volunteer-led activities range from engineering design challenges to guided bike rides to dance to making slime and friendship bracelets. Participation is optional and free or low cost. If you would like to lead an activity, please contact us.
